I have until September of next year until my visa expires and even then I’m leaving either this December or March of next year. So the problem is that I don’t want to be kicked out of Japan and I know I have 3 months to attempt to find work. But money is obviously going to be tight if I don’t start working, I’m currently looking into staying at a share house.
So if I just work at a few part time jobs, would that suffice?
Edit.
I’ve been teaching English for the past 5 years. I was supposed to go on vacation for a month, but that got cancelled. My last contract ended on May 1st. I’m on the humanities visa

It all comes down to what kind of visa you have.
Quite a lot is unclear in your post. Did you lose your job or quit? What kind of visa do you have? A lot will depend on the answer to those questions.
Jesus, another one? Are all the students this year really incapable of finding this info out themselves, or is this an orchestrated effort by them…
Technically you dont have 3 months to find work. You can apply to change your student visa to a designated job hunting visa, but that usually only applies if you graduated from university.
To answer your question about part time work.
You cant get a work visa for just unskilled part time work. The work needs to be skilled and even then you need to make over 250k a month.
If youre saying can you part time work while searching for work or on your student visa?
Not unless you have permission to engage in activities outside of your SoR. That is tied to your SoR though so if you switch from student to designated activities you need to apply again and there is no guarantee youll get it.
On top of that, even if you get it youll be limited to a maximum of 28 hours a week. At minimum wage will that cover your living expenses?
I should mention, the second your uni program ends or the school says you left school, even though your residence card says it doesnt expire until September, your SoR is no longer valid. So if your program ends in June, you cant actually stay until september even though it says thats when it expires. Youll be overstaying and potentially run into issues. (Fines, deportation, ban from coming back for 5 years etc)
Yes, you can. just tell immigration you lost your job and then tell immigration when you get a new job. Email immigration if you need any help, they will be able to respond to English emails or phone calls.
Technically you can self sponsor your visa if you make enough working multiple part time jobs but that’s a problem for when you need to renew your visa, alot of adjuncts do this.
