Almost forgot this shit two years in a row lol

Edit: Holy fuck what was that synonym section. I’ve never heard of [redacted] before

  1. I’ll try to redeem myself on the N2. Last time I was 3 points short of passing

Edit: stupid long readings but I think that I got this

  2. The trains to the exam site in nagoya haven’t been running for over an hour now due to the heavy rain…. What is gonna happen?? 😭

  3. Well fuck, guess I’m getting turned away for not having the damn health form

  4. Good luck to you too! And everyone else! Out of my friend group I’m usually the only one to remember, but this year I forgot. 😭

  5. I’ve been busy looking for jobs and apartments so I haven’t even studied, but I’m taking N1 for the second time today. I considered not showing up.

  6. There’s a clock in the room, this is the first time they had one up during a test…

  7. Taking the N2 for the second time today and currently on break. Holy fuck it feels so much more difficult than last time.

  8. (redacted) fucked me up as well. I’ll be happy if I get the minimum points for the vocab section cuz dayum that was tough.

  9. our proctor made a mistake and stopped us an hour early during vocab and reading. lots of grumbling and panicked glances before they realized they fucked up and let us proceed again. they did not give us any extra time on the back end though despite a few minutes of confusion. very sloppy.

  10. N2 half time now. Found it super difficult. More difficult than last time. I had to fill out 10 grammar questions and two short answer questions randomly at the end. For the ones I did answer I feel… Ok? Finger crossed listening is a little easier.

  11. Shoutout to the legend whose phone rang during the n2 exam today. Gave us another chance for 3 more questions

Edit: it was listening and he got kicked but we got to listen to 3 questions again.

  12. Some poor soul got red carded twenty minutes into N4 after letting their phone ring on multiple occasions. Couldn’t help but have a bit of a chuckle.

  13. A girl in my class passed out and firemen had to come and pick her up up. I thought they would extend time for at least 3 mins but nah.

1 girl got kicked for not wanting to remove her cap too

Dude to my right opened the question sheets and kept reading them before time, but he seemed super lost on the listening part.

I felt listening was a cake, and as other peeps, way too much reading on the N2

  14. Shoutout to all those election campaign cars that decided to pass by during the listening section! I just really needed that difficulty boost!

  15. N1 taker here. Got totally got assblasted by the listening part. At least I’m sure I did pretty well in the reading section.

  16. N1 at Dokkyo University.
My god the invigilators were useless. Started first section late, took up more time collecting and confirming the papers while we sit there wasting our break time, then get ushered back in with 5 minutes still left before the next section starts. Ended up with 15 minutes break.
Think the first section was generally alright. But nearly fell asleep during listening. Lack of sleep from a 6 week old baby lol. Hopefully did enough to pass.

Also, why don’t they allow drinks on the table? At least during the grammar/reading when the sound isn’t so distracting.

  17. How about waiting until all the overseas exams have finished before posting the answers, guys?

  18. Can people stop putting up answers. Jeez. Ppl are still going to take the test in europe and usa. Whats wrong with you ppl.

  19. Felt like the Kanji section on N3 was easy. In all the mocks it was a lot harder.
The long reads on the grammar were brutal at times however the other sections were quite simple. The listening was a mixed bag. It had been easy as shit on all the mocks but this tike was more difficult.

I guess it really is a crapshot

  20. I took the N1 today and I’m not sure why but the listening felt like it was more challenging than the previous times that I took it. I’m just hoping that I pass since I feel better about the kanji, grammar and reading than the previous times.

  21. damn N1 reading got me good, didn’t have time to read all long ones, I randomly answered 8 of the questionss 🙁

  22. I don’t understand why they don’t host monthly tests here. Surely it’d make more sense to rent a smaller space and hire less organizational staff…

Japan wants to step up it’s immigration game (while also closing the borders…) but only makes their main Japanese proficiency test available twice per year? A lot of people depend on these tests for employment…
