during my japenese learning tutorials, i came across the word いっしょに. First thing that came in my mind is that i have never heard of this word before in whatever little sources i had of listening to japenese conversations. That’s why i am skeptical if it is generally used in conversations or considered outdated and lame if you happen to use it.

Google is showing me [1.18 _billion_ (not million) hits](https://www.google.com/search?q=%22%E4%B8%80%E7%B7%92%E3%81%AB%22) for 一緒に (which is how it would normally be written most of the time by native speakers), and [17.7 million hits on Twitter alone](https://www.google.com/search?q=%22%E4%B8%80%E7%B7%92%E3%81%AB%22+site%3Atwitter.com), so I think it’s safe to say that it’s in common use.
edit: clarification
It’s a very common way to say *(to do something) together*
I’m wondering what resources you’re using to study if you haven’t run into this word yet.
one of the weirdest questions i’ve heard here
