Been in Tokyo for a few months but I’m finding it a bit tricky to find some places that sell good chicken or beef ramen as I don’t eat pork. Could someone please recommend me any good places?
Personally, I like the chicken ramen shop [Men-ya Bifu](https://localplace.jp/sp/t200515682/) along Togoshi-Ginza, but I’m not 100% sure it contains no pork. It definitely reads like both the ramen and the gyoza are only chicken.
Search for 牛骨ラーメン or 鶏ラーメン on google maps.
I’m not sure if these are totally pork free, but if you’re into fishy stuff look for niboshi (煮干し), for chicken look for toripaitan (鶏白湯).
Beef ramen, I’m not sure if it even exists as Japanese ramen. Best to look for Pho instead.
If you’re willing to take a trip to Yokohama, there’s a place (sadly the name escapes me but its always busy so its probably well-known) that serves an absolutely banging duck ramen.
I’m not saying it’s the best or cheapest but I know ichiran has/had no pork ramen locations. The signs are more green than the original logos and such.
I’ve eaten plenty of bowls of ichiran for a staff meal back in the states and I can say that the no pork version tastes pretty similar to their original.
Chicken based ramen. They have a few stores around. I’m a huge fan. Will probably have some tonight.
Near takadanobaba station Toyama Exit, there is a Mutton and Lamb ramen shop. I personally cannot vouch for it as I didn’t eat there, but my cousin ,who is kosher, did when he came to visit and he enjoyed what he got.
Not sure of specific stores but if you keep kosher or halal you may want to also ask how the soup is made if you find places that serve chicken or fish ramen. Pork based stock is used in alot of them.
If finding halal food is the goal, then might actually need to find one with halal branding. Considering that almost no chicken or beef in japan is slaughtered in muslim way to make it halal.
Ramen Yamaguchi in Takadanobaba is pretty great for chicken ramen.

I liked the vegan ramen at T’s Tantan, actually most of the vegan ramen places are pretty good, and you won’t need to ask about the ingredients.
