7. I particularly liked the bit where Ospreay relied on outside interference to win, something he does consistently in japan.

   If you @ me about that one time with Okada you’re an idiot.

10. Ospreay’s strikes are so much fun to watch. His hook kicks especially. Also, love a good Michinoku driver, in the running for my favourite wrestling move.

This was the defining moment of OC’s career when a lot bash him for his gimmick led by one Jim Cornette, despite that he had a number of great matches prior to this, including the three-way against Kenny and Pac. This is also the first time New Japan fans see OC and he’s an instant hit and even got the New Japan roster to like him a lot. Add the fact OC is a great worker and it’s no wonder Shibata wanted to wrestle with him and now ZSJ.

16. Am I the only person that really doesn’t enjoy these weird tornado DDT-type maneuvers where they just twirl around each other and you’re not sure which person is taking the bump and which person is supposedly on offense?

    They’re just so unbelievable and IMO they really disrupt the flow of a match.

    I don’t mean to pick on this match in particular, I just saw the move and am sharing my opinion on that specific move. Not even particular to OC, just anyone who does it.

    Not my favorite.

17. this match prove OC capabilities in ring. he can stand toe to toe in ring with one of the best in the world.

18. Oh man I keep forgetting how amazing Osprey is in the ring. Like I know he’s good, but then I see a match and remember “oh fuck”. The man fucking *sells*. He makes his opponent look absolutely phenomenal (not that OC *needs* the help mind you) while also looking amazing in his own right.

    So pumped for him vs Kenny.

19. My wife who doesn’t care about wrestling came with me to this show last minute and sat in the upper deck. Her takeaway from the entire show is that this match was cool as fuck and Shibata had great emo boy music.

21. That crap at 30 seconds is terrible. “Here let me lift my legs late so you can attempt a pin. ” the rest looks pretty good but too muchhelping your opponent still

22. I just want Orange Cassidy to win every match he’s in. Even if I don’t start out feeling that way, he always wins me over.

25. I fucking loved this match, I remember people complaining (not just NJPW Fans, AEW fans as well granted there is a lot of crossover there) but I knew the match would slap
