Go to uchi in Dallas. Fresh fish flown in from Japan every day. Pricey, but worth every penny
Looks delicious
Some of the best sushi I ever had was at Bubba’s bbq and sushi in Alabama.
Has to be better than sushi in Iowa.
I didn’t mean to strike a nerve with anyone lol ! I’ll keep my opinions to myself from now on.
The Houston area has some great sushi and great food in general!
Some good places here in Austin but holy fuck is it expensive
Yea but now you can’t abort that parasite, straight to jail. 😝
That’s not sushi.
I’m surprised that people are surprised they can find good sushi away from coastal areas. There are multiple good sushi joints in my area in the Midwest.
Houston has killer sushi. Kata, hidden omakase, teppay are all killer.
It’s annoying when people say shit like this.
90% of sushi places in the US are getting the same frozen products. Even the ones in coastal towns mostly use frozen fish. It’s a damn shame but it’s the only way most places know how to do business and not lose their shirts.
Those spots that opt to not order everything through JFC or KGI are the ones worth actually spending money at. All the rest is just bang average.
Sushi is the one thing I’d rather hear “it was ok”or a “was decent” over a “not that bad”. The glass half full really counts

Sushi in Austin is pretty top notch! Try Uchi or Lucky Robot. Fish flown in from Toyosu in Japan daily.
Sushi in a coastal state is good? Wild
Vast majority of time Sushi has to be frozen before you eat it. So sick of going over this.
I’m skeptical of that low-sodium or whatever soy sauce. Toss it. I’m a soy sauce snob and this [one is super top notch](https://www.amazon.com/Yamaroku-Years-Bisiho-Sauce-Ounce/dp/B0036TFXYK/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1E1ZFA1S30FVV&keywords=Yamaroku+-+4+Year+Aged+Tsuru+Bishio+Japanese+Soy+Sauce&qid=1657257585&sprefix=yamaroku+-+4+year+aged+tsuru+bishio+japanese+soy+sauce%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-4)and $35 last I ordered. Best
Nana’s in Houston is amazing
Be more skeptical about the wasabi
Eeeh… too much rice.

There’s a lot of good sushi to be had in Texas!
