A quick google search will answer all of those questions.
Hey, I climbed Mt. Fuji last year and I went with a tour group. I really had a good time talking to other people while climbing, and i’m no mountaineer so it was really good to go up at a reasonable pace. I used [this tour company](https://www.sunshinetour.co.jp/fuji/) and I highly recommend it!
The later in the season, the better, in terms of weather.
The mountain huts are smelly and noisy. It is best to avoid all tours that come with accommodation, climbing directly up and then directly down without sleeping.
Climbed it three times in uni. But I don’t remember which trail we took. One of the easier ones though.
Its cold. Average temp at the peak in august is 5 degrees, but that’s the average, so it can go below zero. It can be pretty warm on a good day though, so hopefully you’ll have better luck than I did on my first trip. Wear layers so that you can add more while going up, and take them off while coming down.
Don’t rely on oxygen cans. Just breathe harder and deeper. Take breaks to get used to the altitude. Feeling nauseous and/or yawning is a sign of altitude sickness. Breath deeper.
Don’t forget your rain gear. You dont want to be wet when it’s close to 0 degrees. Just the fog can get you dripping wet.
Bring coins. You have to pay to use the bathrooms iirc.
Bring a trashbag. Theres no trashcans on the trail.
That’s all I can remember off the top of my head. Been a while since I climbed.
