I create (somewhat sarcastic) GIFs for Giphy, and I’m quite a fan of the japanese culture and curious about the types of GIFs or emotions that Japanese people typically send to each other. Could anyone assist me? examples are also welcome ofcourse 🙂 thanks!

Japan is almost like any other country where context is everything.
How about you post a few gifs you made and we can see how they would work in Japan?
This is actually a pretty deep question that I don’t think most people on this subreddit would be able to answer sufficiently. (almost everyone here is a foreigner)
I think your best course of action towards researching this would be to join various Japanese language gaming Discord servers and see what gifs (if any) they use there. Good luck.
check Line app. they have animated gifs/emoticons/stamps. that is what they send to each other. not sure though if all the sets will be available outside japan.
