We hope that we can get good professional coworkers that we can get along with in some capacity, but there are times when lady luck abandons us.
A few quick ones from me, from Eikaiwas up north.
-teacher who drank a few times on the job between classes, got warned.
-teacher who was found to be looking at explicit images during a lesson
-teacher whose vocal cords from 2 classes over were too strong and I had to ask him several times to keep it down as my own students couldn’t hear me
-teacher who was way overly sexual in his classes, constantly bringing up his polyamorous sexuality with adult female students, bringing up a story of a “happy ending” massage place, and constantly not following any lesson plans

Went to work early and walked in on a colleague getting a blowjob from the Japanese secretary in the kids classroom. Also had a friend who was teaching the J housewives classes, on his last day they all gave him contacts and he went on to sleep with 4 or 5 of them in lthe following month. Also known two teachers to get fired for being drunk on the job.
Worked with a guy who fell in love with his student (she was 17). He quit. Try to pursue the girl. She didn’t feel the same (obviously). Apparently at this time he was also married (I wasn’t close with the dude so that I didn’t know) and wife found out what the hell he had been up to. Got a divorce. He then reapplied for his old job. He didn’t get it back. This story became known within the company partly because of the student mentioning it, and oh boy did it turn into a full shitstorm for everyone. The rules became so strict after that. Talk to a female student and you were on thin ice.
