I have been getting an insane number of spam calls lately(5+ a day), as well as messages from random numbers, both SMS and texts on LINE/whatsapp. A lot of the messages are related to trading/job offers, been blocking those back to back but the calls are the real issue. The last drop was a call this morning at 7am from a No Caller ID. Definitely a reminder to turn on night mode from now on, but it’s extremely annoying to be woken up by a ghost call.
I’m with docomo if that matters. Is anyone experiencing anything similar? Is changing my number the only option here?

I’ve been getting the same. Picking up the phone it plays some random recording in Japanese followed by Chinese. Not sure exactly why.

　yeah same here. I called docomo about it but they cant do anything. All we can do is block the number after its called but thats pointless.
I turned off calls from numbers that aren’t in my contact list. I don’t use calling, so it works for me.
I just got one yesterday. As it was No caller ID. I almost didn’t take it. Mine was a recorded message purportedly fromNTT Finance telling me I’d missed a payment. I hung up, and they haven’t called back since. Just ignore them.
I get them like every 3 days or so. It’s not an unknown number, usually it is like an international number that starts with a + or something. It is always changing too so blocking individual numbers does nothing.
So far only xiaomi phones seem to have a block phone numbers by prefix option.
