4. The best ~10min match of all time, the match that made me an Ishii fan for life, master level shit from both guys. They tell the crowd right from the stare down that this is going to be a sprint and the crowd is up almost the whole time. Ishii’s no-selling and Shibata’s lariat sell belong in a museum.

19. This was a great night. Nakamura vs Ibushi happened was on the same card too. This is the best 10 minute match ever 🔥

20. I swear the more times I see the match the more hyped I get with every move they performed. Ishii and Shibata were the perfect dance partners

21. This is just marvelous. A ten min match, with probably 1/4 of that having both guys on the canvas. Yet it feels like they just kick the crap out of each other for hours.

22. The normally reserved Japanese crowd going feral from the get-go told me straight away that this was gonna be a burst of violence. Epic match.

23. Such a great match. Classic Ishii sell job, Shibata in his prime, hot crowd. This was a great G1 tournament as well.

26. Every time I watch this match I come to the conclusion that the perfect wrestling match to me is this. I’d take away those 3 seconds of unprotected headbutts and that’s it. No shenanigans, no fancy stuff. Just two badasses beating the shit out of each other with great moves and great selling.
