First time attempting Aburi (flame seared) technique.

  1. Beautiful. My fiancé loves aburi nigiri since she is just getting into the raw fish scene. It’s a shame lots of places don’t serve it or refuse to torch nigiri :/

  2. It’s probably the desired result, but most of the aburi I see in restaurants is only torched to the point where the fish gets a weird pale color. I’d like to try it your way, this looks great!
