So I’m moving to Japan soon, and am on the prowl for Japanese language classes, preferably online to better fit my schedule.
I’m aware you don’t necessarily need Japanese to live there, but I do find it incredibly lonely and isolating to be in areas where I’m not able to communicate with those around me. Considering I’ll be there for 4 years, I don’t want my 4 years to be spent exclusively with other foreigners, and I don’t want to leave the country knowing I blew it spending all day at work or in my house lol.
My primary issue right now is finding courses that are actually viable and helpful, either supplementary or otherwise. I see a lot of courses named all over, but I never hear anything first hand regarding these courses. It’s usually just someone googling “Japanese Language Courses” and listing those off.
So, does anybody happen to have any courses that help them gain a better understanding? I’m going to be getting proper textbooks soon, but I have a very hard time learning exclusively from a book.
