Hello all. I’m U. S. military living just west of Tokyo. I have a tv that was damaged during my move here. The company that moved me needs a verification that the tv was most likely damaged during the move. No local repair shops will seem to assist and LG (the tv brand) seems to only touch Japanese purchased models. Any help or nudge in the right direction would be amazing!

Did you ask them for any guidance for this? What sort of damage?
Dude it’s easier to just go walk into a second hand store and get a used one for cheaper than to deal with that. The TV was not worth bringing and was better off being given to a friend back home.
What kind of “help” do you need? What part of the TV is broken?
Did you pack it into original box before moving? Most TV manufacturers will not care about damage when shipped without the original packing material. And as you found out, international models aren’t going to be looked at at all.
Anyway, I hope by “doesn’t work” you mean something like “doesn’t power up” and not “can’t see any TV” because the latter is obvious, TV system is different here you’ll need a japan TV receiver box/tuner if you wanted to watch off-air TV and not just use it as a monitor.
Why did you PCS with a TV in your household goods
