I’m looking for a 5G wifi provider for my new place in the Shugakuin area of Kyoto (northern part of the city by the mountains). I’ve found that reception here from companies like UQ WiMAX can be quite spotty, and I’m looking for something more consistent. I’ve also had some trouble finding the coverage maps for the big companies, so any links to maps would also be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Essentially looking to have access to internet with a strong signal in a house that is prone to a weak signal given its location in the mountains and the fact that it’s built of concrete.
We will consider getting fiber optic in a few months, but need something with a strong signal for the next little while.

? what’s preventing you from getting fiber/cable/adsl installed?
all big providers (au/docomo/rakuten/softbank) publish area maps, just search their name + エリア and surely the map will be 1st link. all mvnos piggybacking from the main carriers will use same towers so mvno X using docomo lines will have same coverage as docomo.
If you want a good connection get fibre installed.
5G, WiMAX and Wi-Fi are all different things. What exactly do you want?
