First time trip Itinerary check October 4th to 24th
Perth – Tokyo – Kyoto – Osaka – Hakone – Tokyo – Perth
Hi all, long time lurker of this subreddit and looking for any advice/tips/recommendations for the wife and my first trip to this beautiful country.
Ive planned and replanned this trip so many times I feel im just going in circles and have to just make a final decision and stick with it.
A couple of things to note :
Itinerary is still quite flexible and can change according to recommendations.
I am unsure if the days I have allocated are adequate (is 3 days each enough for Osaka / Kyoto, 1 day for Hiroshima)?
Would like to fit in a day trip to Yokohama (the Port terminal is one of my favorite buildings of all time) if we are not too tired in the second Tokyo leg.

For day 8, note that Fushimi Inari and Kinkakuji are on different sides of Kyoto. Maybe consider doing Kinkakuji on day 7, since you’ll already be in the northern area (even though Arashiyama is it’s own thing to the west entirely).
I’m also going for 21 days and am stressing about planning. How did you plan?
