**University in Japan**
Hey everyone, I noticed that some universities in Japan have two application periods.
Does applying during the first application period improve your chance of being accepted?
I know in Usa we have early acceptance- is this something similar in Japan?
Thank you for any info!

As far as I know, some universities in Japan have two (major) application periods primarily to accommodate international students. Because of the way the Japanese education system works, in general Japanese students mainly matriculate in April. So then the “later” application period is for the international students who would normally matriculate in August/September in their home country.
In fact, I believe in many, though perhaps not all cases, application by international students for English programs are only accepted in the later application period. Application for Japanese programs might be accepted in the earlier application period, but I cannot say for sure.
