Hello, I’m planning a hike from Nakabusa to Kamikochi. I’m planning to stay in the Huts w/ meals so I will pack light. I have a fair amount of experience scrambling on exposed cliffs, not as long as Daikiretto though and I don’t have any experience in snow so I might ditch Daikiretto if it snows on my planned date which is on October 11-15.
This is my planned route:
Day 1: Nakabusa-Mt. Tsubakuro-Daitensou Hut
Day 2: Daitensou Hut-Yarigatakesanso
Day 3: Yarigatakesanso-Kita Hotaka Hut
Day 4: Kita Hotaka Hut-Oku Hotaka-Karasawa Hut
Day 5: Karasawa Hut-Kamikochi
1. Will I get by not being able to speak any Japanese?
2. How’s the usual weather around mid October? Does it snow?
3. Is the time estimates in this map fairly accurate? https://azumino-e-tabi.net/hike/map/
4. Is all trails reliable on planning this route? Atleast in terms of distance and elev. gain.
Thank you very much, if anybody is up to join, you’re very much welcome!
