I am here in Japan living for the next four months as an exchange student. There’s this girl back in my old uni I am friends with and I would like to get her a birthday present unique to Japan. She’s into art and is an artist/designer. I want to give her something that’s unique but also like I can add a personal touch. I am thinking of something that’s related to crafts like an ikebana hair accessory, for which I could potentially ask the crafter to put in some details for me. Her birthday is in October so I have some time. Cost is not a super big concern for me, but I don’t really want to give her a super expensive gift that might scare her either. Any idea would be great!

Which G1 Climax entrant has pleasantly surprised you thus far? For me, it would have to be Shane Haste. His match and huge upset win over Tetsuya Naito really put him on the map and he had a solid bout with stablemate ZSJ as well. The man has the tools to make a big impact in NJPW.
