Hello! I’ll be travelling in October for 9 days with Narita Airport as my entry and exit. It’s going to be my 3rd time in Tokyo so not really looking to go to the common touristy places like Asakusa, Shibuya etc. I’ve drafted my itinerary as follows. My biggest dilemma is that my flight back from Narita Airport is at 9 am and my last destination before leaving Japan is Hakone. Travel time is 4 hours and I don’t know how what time I’ll be able to leave Hakone.
Does it make sense to go directly from Hakone to the Narita the night before? Or it would be better to go back to Tokyo for 1 day and just catch the earliest Keisei Skyliner train from Ueno?
I’m thinking of moving Hakone to Day 6-7 and having Day 8 Tokyo instead but then I’ll have to leave Asakusa extra early to catch my 9 am flight. Another concern is that Hakone might be crowded on a weekend, any thoughts? 😊
