Hello, I’m new in Tokyo and just found out that it is not required to have a license and wear a helmet to drive electric scooters anymore. Now I’m wondering where I can find a decent selection of e-scooters which are in line with the new regulations. Can anyone help?

The bikes are bad enough–I really, really, really hope this is not the case. I hope [this](https://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/14973067) applies to other things besides bikes.

[Here](https://www.d-kickboard.com/tokuteikogata_taiou/) is the list. I think most of them only take pre-orders and look like typical dropshippers. I would rather wait for Segway/Xiaomi.
I saw a women riding one this week. What a coincidence. She was however wearing a helmet.
Also I have noticed police wearing helmets recently. Never saw that before.
No longer having to wear a helmet is one of the major tipping points for you to get a scooter? Sounds like a Darwin award.
So far, seen the Scooters sold at Yodobashi and Yamada stores.. Seen Vanguard sells them as well.
