Does anyone know if Australians can stay 18 months on a WHV? I’m currently on my initial 6 month visa, but can’t find much information on extending past the 12 month period online – I tried to call immigration but the lines are always busy.

Yes you can. Done it before, just renew as you would normally and it should be fine.
