Wish I had yalls courage to do a 1 day trip to Kyoto. Idk if I want to spend 200$ on just one day but is so tempting
If you are into food that you need a day or two in Osaka in lieu of Tokyo imo
I think you’re mad if you don’t at least make day 6 another Kyoto day. Kyoto is not a small city – everything is spread out and getting to places of interest takes time, and you’re missing a bunch of stuff as-is.
I personally would skip Kyoto. That Kyoto itinerary would mean spending at least 4-5 hours on buses/trains as they are all so far apart from each other, on top of your Shinkansen. So that day, 8 hours will be on buses and trains. When you got there, those attractions will be so crowded that I doubt you’ll have a good time.
You probably won’t be able to reasonably do everything you planned in Kyoto in one day and enjoy it.
We spent a whole week in Kyoto and couldn’t finishing seeing everything we wanted to see.
