I’m still studying the lyrics for Candy Pop by TWICE and I don’t get what’s the function of particle NI here:
“君の honey honey な笑顔 *に*
ドキドキ heartbeat
止まらない”

  1. に is used for indicating direction. In this case, it’s not literal, but if you can picture the singer’s heartbeat being targeted toward or facing the smiling face, that probably helps.

  2. Yep, in this case に is showing the cause of why heartbeat won’t stop thumping.
