I’m going to the Japanese Grand Prix this year and want some help with the itinerary. I asked for some advice previously [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/JapanTravel/comments/14m2eql/itinerary_check_tokyo_hiroshima_osaka_kyoto_nagoya/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1), but now I have flights booked I can refine my plans somewhat.

### Sunday 24/09 – Nagoya

The only possible changes I think I could make make is to add a day in Hiroshima so I can go to Miyajima, which means I will arrive in Nagoya on Saturday? Am I leaving out anything burningly obvious here? I could also flip the order after Tokyo if I wanted to break up the Shinkansen trips into shorter stints?

Just as a side note, sometimes if you travel by local or domestic flights they are reasonably priced and they take a lot less time obviously. But I decided to go that route versus Train or any overnight bus because I got to spend more time in the city. Although seeing the mountainside and rural area was also amazing.
I’m also going to the the F1 race. I’m sitting in grandstand C. How about you?
If you’re in it for the motorsports, the Toyota Kaikan Museum is kind of a letdown. I was there in May.
The only race car present was their LMP victor car, and the rest of it was Prius/Hydrogen/BEV, safety system demos, how we build cars, and then a showroom of some current models. They did have all the GRs but it’s a long haul from Nagoya city center, and not the easiest thing to get to (multiple bus/train transfers/etc).. i’d skip it.
The Automobile museum may be more up the alley, but I didn’t get to visit as the round trip to the Kaikan sucked up too much time 🙁
I also relocated between Kyoto and Osaka.. if you’re looking for nightlife differences it may be worth it.. but i didn’t realize trains between Osaka and Kyoto were so frequent and short (30-40min) that it feels like it makes more sense to just hub in one and transit to the other for day trips.
They’re probably booked out to wazoo for the Grand Prix weeks but Fun2Drive was amazing and worth every penny for the Hakone drive.
Also going to the F1 race. Where are you staying in Nagoya ?
