Anybody know of DOO prime? My dad called me and said hey I want to talk to you and sent me these photos and I told him he was about to get scammed and he got all silent. It seems he sent ¥50,000 to someone else already.
I can’t attached photos/screenshot but these guys were saying he won money and needs to send 10% for fee back to them.

Any time you need to send money to win a prize, it probably is a scam.
why? why? why so easily believed that, old people so trusted toward strangers
I’m sorry your dad got scammed, and ¥50 000 is a lot of money. But also in the grand scheme of things, some people lose their life savings.
My comment is mainly to say, please double check what information he sent to these people. I can make him even more vulnerable for scams in the future or might be enough to get into certain accounts.
That’s why I told my parents. No matter who calls saying I am in trouble, do not believe them. Hang up and then call me back.
This is only going to get worse over the next 10 years as more boomers retire and the scams are getting better. Need to constantly remind your parents to always check with you first!
