  1. I always wondered what the story was! You know you’re back in Japan when you see his signs at Narita

  2. Taxiway Bravo still has that weird jog in it, and RWY 16L/34R is still a few hundred metres shorter than it should be. I guess you have to give it to that guy for tenacity.

  3. It’s funny how US media has started using the term “radical leftist” with a straight face to describe any sort of activism.

  4. Seriously, at some time or other you’ve just got to take the deal that’s on the table. The neighbours obviously thought the deal was reasonable, but this family decided that there was pride in extreme stubbornness.

  5. Looks like NRT is on it’s way to becoming a low cost carrier airport hub. Especially with how HND has expanded in recent years. The night time flight restrictions don’t help either.

  6. Why buys his jet fuel flavored veggies anyway? I get that it is his right to stay within his property, but how is he making a living for so long?

  7. If the government had approached the people with a little humility and asked them properly explaining how important this was instead of, as I understand it, basically telling they are being kicked off their land I think this could have been avoided.
