Yay Nagoya!! I live in Nagoya and I love it!!
I’ve got some recs for you guys for food!
Nagoyan Specialties-
– Hitsumabushi. Lots of good places, I like the one in the Nagoya station meitetsu building.
– Miso katsu. Super cliche, but gosh Yabaton is really delicious. There’s one on the walk between Sakae and Osu.
– Breakfast sets! I love Komeda and they’re all over.
– Yamachan is a fun izakaya for famous tabesaki!
Local specialties:
– Suripu Bakery. SO good. By Tsuruma park.
– Cafe Toland near Osu. Amazing atmosphere and really tasty pastries, drinks, and even full lunch.
– Y market brewery. In Sakae by the tower. It’s my favorite izakaya. Japanese, but with some twists.
Higashiyama zoo and botanical garden is great! If you keep going all the way through the botanical garden there are beautiful trails and it’ll take you to a great little shopping/restaurant area to get lunch or whatever. Much better than eating inside the zoo.
Oh and if you want to try your hand at crane games, I’ve won way too many stuffed animals from the arcades in Osu. 🙈
Enjoy!! There’s lots to get up to here. 😁
