Hello everyone,
I have been scouting online for hours to find what is the average salary in Osaka for a Project Manager working in the field of Biology or Regulatory?
It is incredibly hard to find due to the lack of salaries reported in these fields (a bit niche I admit) versus other professions.
Osaka University mentioned 5.5 million a year – which seems to be low according to online data showing 8.5 million for Project Management (no field mentioned) but I do not know how realistic it is.
May I ask you help, opinion, and/or advice?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
**Optional Background**
I am in my early 30s, and graduated from a European engineering degree (6 year program in specialised school) in biotechnology and entreupreneurship which seems to be equivalent to a Master of Philosophy or PhD in the UK where I currently work.
I worked a total of 5 years in research and development on stem cells and immunology before moving to consulting in Drug Market Access (+1 year) and Project Manager at the MHRA (Governmental drug regulator in the UK for +1 year).

It depends on whether it would be at a company or university. For a university for example 5.5 M is more than postdoctoral researchers (PhD-holding researchers) in Biology field get so that would be in line with expectations I guess. Its difficult to say but my guess would be 5-7M. You also have to keep in mind the fall of the yen which makes the salaries seem lower than 2 years ago.
