Hi all,
I would love feedback on my proposed itinerary, most things are flexible and nothing is set in stone yet. We’ve booked a few hotels, but they’re all changeable and refundable. We are two girls in our 20s, happy to walk, and planning on travelling light.
1. The mini trip to Seoul may be a silly idea, but it’s the only chance we’ll have (at least for a long time) to visit.
2. The only thing we can’t really change is flights, these have been planned with so many factors in mind (cost, timing, vouchers, airlines, etc).
3. I’ve been to Japan before so I’m okay with the JR Pass/Pocket Wi-Fi situation, we’ll decide if we’re getting a JR Pass once we know the itinerary to see if it works out cheaper than buying individual tickets with the new price increase.
4. I’ve not included everything during the days in this, but it’s all on Wanderlog so I can see what’s grouped together.
Are the day trips from Osaka reasonable?
Thank you!!!!! :’)

You can combine Himeji and Kobe into a day, and drop Osaka Castle since you’re already seeing the finest castle (and UNESCO world heritage site) in Japan
Depending on what time you get to Hiroshima, I would be a little more ambitious and possibly try to get to Miyajima. Well worth seeing. Toshogu Shrine isn’t that impressive especially in comparison to what you’ll see in Kyoto.
You can combine Kobe and Himeji.
My advice is always to stay in the place you’re going to be visiting. Go to Kyoto if you’re going to spend three days there.
