Child friendliness: Cerulean tower vs Grand Hyatt Tokyo?

We are first time travelers who will be in Tokyo/Kyoto with our soon-to-be 3 month old. Based on reviews, I’m having a hard time understanding which hotel might best suit our needs. Cerulean tower is on the Yamanote line and offers childcare and cribs, but it seems as though those services are offered because children are perhaps not so welcome in the rest of the hotel. Alternatively, Grand Hyatt seems child friendly, but hard to assess comparatively how inconvenient Rappongi is? Thoughts?

  2. Roppongi, while “centrally” located on a map, is not very convenient transportation wise. Hibiya line is fine but Oedo line is not very convenient, and is basically 497 meters underground so a pain to get to, especially with a baby.

As a hotel, Hyatt likely nicer, but transportation not great. I’d go with Cerulean, which is still a very nice hotel. Plus you’ll have great views.

Edit: plus Shibuya has a few JR lines and 2 metro lines (Ginza line, hanzomon line)

  3. We are staying at Cerulean Tower at the end of the month. I don’t have very young children, but are traveling with our school-aged children. I can pop back in after our trip to provide some insights.
