**How difficult is it to hail a taxi in a small town**
So I’m moving to Japan next week and will land at KIX, from where I’ll go to Otsu by train. There I have to get a taxi to reach my accommodation. I’ll reach Otsu at night around 9PM and was wondering if taxis would be readily available or if I’d have to search for one for very long

Been there recently. Otsu station is quite big and there’s a taxi rank outside the entrance that will have taxis readily available. You’ll be fine.
You can check it out on google maps easily too.
