Japan work visa without a degree or experience

Hi, I just came home after a 3 month internship in embedded systems engineering in Japan, my company said they want to hire me.

The problem is I have no college degree and no work xp other than the internship. I’m only 21 and still in college, I got selected for the internship conditionally bc my grades were pretty good, all the other interns were fresh graduates. They’re interested in hiring me because all my classes are online, and I can manage working and studying at the same time ( I did during the internship ), they will probably send me my certificate of eligibility soon, but will that be enough to get work visa?

The only documents I can present to the embassy are the internship/training certificates (by the ministry of economy, trade and industry, JASA, and my office in Japan) and my high school diploma.. how high/low are my chances?

What status of residence are they applying for you to get? Are they going to try to use the Technical Intern Training program?

Honestly it’s great that they like you and want you, but practically they (and you) should wait until you’ve got your degree and can come under engineer status.

This seems highly unlikely. The COE is basically a checkpoint that says, “yeah, go ahead with the visa application/approval process because this person seems to meet the requirements”. Based on the information you posted, it seems that you don’t meet these requirements.
