Hello!
I would like to buy a mattress in Kyoto. The one that came with my apartment is insanely hard and hurts my back, neck and overall makes it very difficult to sleep.
Does anybody know where I can buy a soft mattress (in Kyoto/online)?
It should be affordable as a student. I’d say I am willing to pay 60.000 Yen if it means I can sleep and wake up without neck pain..

Check out Koala mattresses, they’re wonderful and delivered at home. Might be slightly above your budget for a double one though.
Otherwise, Ikea, Nitori, etc have decent mattresses with delivery at home.
Nitori have thinner mattress overlays for just this purpose, which means you wouldn’t have the added hassle of figuring out what to do with your current mattress. Full online ordering and scheduled delivery too.
