I have inherited some jewelry from a European relative: a gold watch, some cameo brooches, carved ivory and jade accessories, and even some gold teeth (!) Based on the original owners, I’m guessing the pieces are 70-150 years old. I’m looking for a professional appraisal for insurance/ legal purposes. Tokyo / Saitama / Chiba / Kanagawa preferred, but I’m willing to travel further for a highly recommended place. I’ve already done some Googling, but I am hoping to get a recommendation from someone who has used this service.

He deals in really high end stuff, but may also do appraisals. I think you can send photos via email to get the ball rolling. It’s on google maps, about 10-15min walk out the west end of kichijoji station.
There’s another well known watch dealer, I think in Nakano, but can’t remember the name.
