Thanks for looking at my post! I’m the typical English teacher looking to go into a different field before I hit 30.
I saw a couple of comments around here where people have used Hello Work to pay I think around 40万 for IT bootcamps like Code Chrysalis.
Does anyone know the page where the benefits and limitations of the education subsidy is (Japanese is okay) or know information about it?
I’d like to know more about it and see what other programs and training it applies to (like getting a masters for example maybe).
Also I’d love to know any other benefits hello-work offers for training.
Edit: Found the official page thanks to help!
It’s
https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/seisakunitsuite/bunya/koyou_roudou/jinzaikaihatsu/kyouiku.html
If anyone else wants to look it up.
I would still love to hear people’s experiences and tips if anyone have any to share.

I heard:
-you pay up front and get reimbursed by HelloWork later
-they reimburse a percentage of the cost, not the full tuition
I believe it’s called 教育訓練給付制度 in Japanese.
I was told you can apply before you qualify as long as the start date of the course you choose to take happens after you qualify for the benefits.
