Issues with Ahamo Billing

I signed up for Ahamo last month and my August bill was finalized yesterday. The only information I have is the amount owed—I can’t see if it was automatically charged to my credit card or if I have to manually pay it myself. I assume it would be automatic since they have my card info on file, but I don’t see any charges from NTT/Docomo/Ahamo on the card.

Their support line didn’t answer my question at all. Does anyone know what the deal with payment for Ahamo is?

  1. It should be taken automatically. Do your card and bank have different websites? You might need to log into the card’s website to see a breakdown of all charges.

  2. Finalized doesn’t mean charged yet. My ahamo bill usually gets charged at around the 14-15th and shows up on the statement a couple days after that.

Basically you should wait another week for the August charge to appear.

  3. Docomo made this clear when they launched ahamo, it’s just a plan within the docomo lineup. It’s not a separate service and you can actually change plans every month if you want. Hence if you went from a giga plan to ahamo you billing stays the same and can keep using the same sim without doing MNP, which is not true for SoftBank or AU
