I am working in a foreign company in Japan and hold engineer visa , so is there any possibility I can work as part time job, and which job can I do in this situation. A friend told me I can’t work as delivery driver with that status. Please help,
No you can’t. Your visa is tied to the company that provided it to you.
Your status of residence (Engineer) allows you to do engineering type work.
If you want to do something else (like work part time as a delivery driver) you’d need permission from immigration to engage in activities outside the scope of your status of residence.
You’d also still have to keep doing the primary activity your status of residence covers. So you can’t quit your engineering job to be a full time uber eats driver.
What exactly is your goal? Do you need more income? If you can do overtime at your main company, that would usually pay more than most part time jobs. Or you can try looking for a job that pays more to begin with.

Benevir’s [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/japanlife/comments/16ig06s/i_have_engineer_visa_so_can_i_do_part_time_job/k0jkge4/) answered your question already, but I have a question.
