So I just moved to Tokyo to study in a language school and I am currently N4 only. I moved to tokyo around 2 months ago and everything was fun and nice. The only issue that I really had was my neighbour that would like knock , or make loud vibration sounds (yes , it is like something vibrating so loudly on the wall) on the wall every night once he came back and it could last until morning. I can know that he is back based on the loud bangings and vibration that starts. It always starts at around 10pm and could last until mornings 11am. I filed a complain to the management company already and they said they warned the person already but it’s still ongoing. I filed 2-3 more complain again and did not receive any replies at all for weeks now. It’s making me so stressed out having no sleep at all for most nights as it is so noisy and disturbing. I feel so frustrated but at the same time I couldn’t do much like reporting to the police or confronting the neighbour as my Japanese isn’t even good enough to speak nor understand what they are even saying. I read through the reddit post here that are having the same issue and I did get earplugs and noise cancelling earphones but I can still hear the loud noise despite using a good noise cancelling earphones. Can anyone please advice me on what to do for this? It is really really stressing me out and making me cry so much due to not getting enough sleep. Sorry if I was ranting a bit long , I really need to get this out of my chest and ask for help. Thank you.

Knock on his door and and just say it the best you can. Or type up something and put it in his /her mailbox. Me personally, I would knock on his door at 2 am and tell them to shut the fuck up….But i don’t recommend that 😂
N4? you should be able to at least explain it to the police
You have to call the cops. It’s the only way that guy will shut up.
Like everybody else said: call the cops. As many times as necessary.
Make a diary of what and when.
Report it every time to your managing company even if they don’t care. By email. Leave a trace.
