appreciate any thoughts on the best rail passes i shld be getting for this trip 17-25 Sep. should i be reserving my seats to avoid being caught without a train ticket?? (should i get icoca? kansai thru pass?)
also, any thoughts on itinerary wld be much appreciated!

Namba (Dotonbori) + Shinsaibashi 5-6h
Harukas 300 obs deck 9am-10pm 1-2h

Universal Studios Japan – Harry Potter

Cup Noodles Museum
Minoo park/hiking
Or
Day-trip to Kyoto/Nara
Visit Nara Park and see the famous deer
Explore Todai-ji Temple and its Great Buddha statue

Day hike: Magome to Tsumago town (1hr 45 mins)

Magome to Tsumago can be done in half a day, and there’s not much to see outside of that. I’d recommend staying the night in Nagoya since it’s pretty close, and on the way to Tokyo
