There are Japanese people to talk to in voice chat rooms, literally 24/7 a day. Before that I was paying for Japanese tutors to do speaking practices with me: 1 hour a day. I’ve done 1 hour a day for the past 4-5 months, which has been really helpful as my teacher corrects my pitch and teaches me tongue placements.
A lot of speaking though doesn’t need that level of correction, more the better generally. I found Hellotalk around 5-6 days ago and have been doing 7-8 hours of output a day. My Japanese teacher was actually surprised how fast I started improving so suddenly, which was an interesting experience in itself. I still plan to continue my lessons as he always points out my mistakes, and it’ll be good to get feedbacks daily until I reach my designed fluency level.

I might have to try this, I can speak fairly well but I just need way more practice. Thanks for the tip!
Funny I’m completely the opposite. All I do everyday is input stuff like listening and reading. Been learning for 1.5 years now but can write like 10 kanji max and only say simple phrases. But I can listen and read around n4 to n3 level ish and probably recognize 700ish kanji. Funny how the brain works but I might try your approach if I ever do want to speak lol.
I may look at this. Do you have to be a certain level to speak? I’ve only been studying one month.
I’ve been meaning to get into this
Dont criticize the Chinese governemnt or say anything touchy on it. I got banned on this platform for saying in a private conversation that I’d prefer to go to Taiwan instead of mainland China becasue its a safer and less dystopian country. I was banned within a half an hour. Its headquartered in Shenzhen and all your private conversations are visoble to them.
