Do you use all four buttons in Anki or do you only use two buttons (i.e. Again and Good)? I’ve been thinking about resetting my ease once again and only using Again and Good alongside the Straight Rewards plug-in (increasing ease with consecutive Good). As of now, I go:
* Again – completely forgotten/wrong with no inkling as to what the word means
* Hard – partially right; either I messed up the pronunciation or meaning wrong
* Good – got it right
* Easy – words that I know I’ll never forget
My problem with this is that I feel like I’m “cheating” sometimes with the Hard button. I already got into Ease Hell once before and I really don’t want to fall into it once more. Because of that, I feel like I’ve been leaning into using Hard more than I actually should.
Just wanted to get your opinions on whether transitioning to the know-it or don’t-know-it mindset would help me.
