Hi, I’m about to begin the process of applying for PR in Japan. I have a UK and an Dutch passport. My residence card is linked to my UK passport. Before I moved here as a resident, I once travelled to Japan on my Dutch passport on holiday as a tourist but I can’t find my old Dutch passport (it’s long expired and been renewed) with the immigration entry/exit date stamps so I’m stuck on question 15 on the PR application form:
“Past entry into/departure from Japan with nationality/region, name and date of birth different from above-mentioned Yes / No”
Is it possible to find out from immigration the exact entry/exit dates? Or can I answer no to this question as it was a tourist trip before becoming a resident

As long as you entered and exited on your Dutch passport after November 1st 1970 you should be able to request the records: https://www.moj.go.jp/isa/applications/disclosure/record.html
Perhaps you have an airline or hotel receipt in your email?
Honestly though this seems like the sort of thing where if you answer honestly (I did, but I don’t know the exact dates, it was around this time with my dutch passport, etc) they’re likely to just ask for more information if they need it.
That question is for previous stays under a status of residence.
