Do you get to keep your flets ONU when moving?
Moving soon to a place that is connected to flets, my current place also. I was checking their website, they seem to say they don’t accept new subscribers because of semicon shortages…….
Now since the current contract is under my name, was wondering if I can keep the ONU. Only caveat is the current place mansion has a special contract with asahinet where I actually pay zero, so not sure.

Must I remove a pigeon net after moving in or can I leave it? The instructions say “The pigeons intrusion prevention net on the balcony will be removed as soon as you move in. Coming from the US to an apartment without wifi already in the building I’m infinitely confused by the internet situation.
So if I have a cable running to my apartment, can I just… shop around for ISPs? I’m not locked to one single cable monopoly?
In my part of the US your options were limited by infrastructure. If you had a cable running to your house you could have Comcast, if fiber was in the neighborhood you could have the local/regional fiber ISP, and phone lines you could use the local phone provider. When I asked which company supplies internet to my building I never got an answer, it was like I was asking which brand of toilet paper I am allowed to wipe my ass with in the apartment.
I’m moving to a 50m2 2LDK apartment at the end of this month and it has no AC (but one existing fitting). Only one AC is possible for the whole 50m2 apartment, and it’s in the living area.
I only plan to be in the apartment a year or so, so I was thinking of bringing the 6畳 Aircon from my current apartment, or else buying a second hand 14畳 Aircon.
Will the 6畳 Aircon be able to cool/heat the whole space if given time? Is it worth buying a second hand Aircon? New ones are a bit out of my price range.
I hope this doesn’t sound racist. But are Japanese guys not concerned about hygiene?
At my company virtually all my male coworkers “wash” their hands by turning on the tap, wetting their fingers for 2 seconds, turning off the tap and running off asap. I’m no cleanliness god myself, but I like to thoroughly clean my hands after doing the business and especially before eating, yet these dudes just be sliding their fingers under the water like swiping a card.
