I’m a tall guy, and 9 times out of 10 when I try on shirts in some random store’s dressing room I find that they (and their sleeves in particular) are either too short, or assume I have the belly girth of a yokozuna.
I bought a suit and shirt set at a tailor once, which was well worth the money; but they don’t tend to stock much in the way of casual/non-suit shirts I think.
Any particular stores/brands I should be looking for?

GAP?
Zara or American stores like A&F, Hollister or American Eagle. (for casual)
For business shirts, Suit Company has a “Long” option for all their shirts.
Outdoor clothing companies like Patagonia, North Face, Columbia, Canterbury and Lululemon work for me, as long as you don’t get the J-fit versions which some of them have. LLBean never seems to work for that reason, as they seem to be predominantly J-fit (or maybe I’m just the wrong shape for that brand).
I have the same problem, I can’t buy long sleeve shirts in Japanese stores (like Uniqlo) since their damn sleeves are too short.
I usually rely on H&M, in addition to some of the other places already mentioned, to get around that problem.

Made to order online from places like Charles Tyrwhitt is what I use.
