1. Looking for an Anki deck that has Genki I and II vocab but in contextual sentences. Someone gave me one the other day but somehow the link disappeared on me. It’s way better to learn stuff in context than in a vacuum so if you have one I’d appreciate it

2. I’m currently using Genki I and they say that an “activity verb” (eg. 勉強する) + ~ている can indicate an action in progress, or an action someone does by occupation/ habit and an example they gave was:
   メアリーさんは毎日日本語を勉強しています。
   I understand that 勉強しています indicates that Mary studies Japanese everyday (by habit), but wouldn’t saying メアリーさんは毎日日本語を勉強します imply the same thing? Are these interchangeable?

3. am reading a version of クモの糸 and saw this:

   > そこで、犍陀多(guy’s name)はさっそく足を上げて、踏み殺そうと致しましたが、

   I was wondering why the narrator would use a humble word like いたす while narrating a story. I thought these kinds of words are used when people interact with each other, but I don’t usually see the narrator using this word.

   I kinda get why he is using 尊敬語 while describing what Buddha did, but I don’t get how you can use humble language on 犍陀多

4. Need advice on how to learn/practice how to write sentences. Right now im using anki which helps me in my reading skills but now i want to practice writing . Any tips?
