2-week Itinerary Check (Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Hakone)

Hi everyone. I’m planning my trip to Japan in November and I would love any advice/tips that you all have.

* *Brunch at Benitsuru (Fluffy Pancakes)*
* Shop on Kappabashi Dougu Street
* Shop at thrift stores in Ueno
* Ueno Park
* Kanda Shrine
* Akihabara
* *Dinner at Unatoto (Unagi bowls)*

**day 3:**

* *Breakfast at 7/11*
* Meiji Jingu
* Yoyogi Park
* *Lunch at Katsudon-ya Zuicho (fried pork cutlet)*
* Takeshita Street Square

* Drop off bags at hostel
* *Lunch at Honke Owariya Main Branch (Soba Noodles)*
* Walk around Ninenzaka
* *Dinner at Kichi Kichi Omurice*

**day 6:**

* Fushimi Inari Taisha
* Kiyomizu-dera
* *try tiramisu at Maccha House (Matcha Cafe)*
* Yasaka-jinja Shrine
* *Lunch at Tendon Makino Kyoto Teramachi (Tempura Donburi)*
* Nijō Castle
* *Dinner at Gyoza ChaoChao*

**day 7:**

* Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
* *Lunch at Shofukutei (curry udon)*
* Kinkaku-ji
* *Dinner at Okonomiyaki Katsu*

**day 8:**

* **Train to Nara**

**day 10:**

* Hakone Shrine

**day 11:**

* Relax at Onsens

* **train to Tokyo**
* check into hostel
* any last-minute souvenirs/food

**day 13:**

* fly home

  1. Day 1 I’d consider doing Tsukiji Market for breakfast if you can wake up early (or take advantage of jet lag). There’s so much good food, but it got crazy crowded after 8-9.

    Day 6 looks really crowded, trying to do both famous temples before lunch sounds super tiring. Consider dropping some activities or replacing day 11 with another day in Kyoto.

    Also I see a couple of popular places on your itinerary. Keep in mind there will probably be long lines for these, so you’ll need to take that into account, unless you eat at off hours.

    I’m no expert, hope that gives you some food for thought!
