When following a recipe I used all purpose flour but I have seen lots of premixed “just add water and egg” and was curious if anyone saw noticeable change flavor-wise using store mix?
What recipe did you use? I see unsaturated cabbage, I’m curious what the suggested preparation method was. The premixed konamon products come with dashi powder and some other ingredients with the flour. I prefer my own recipe over the premixed packages. I might be able to give you some tips to improve the texture and flavor of your batter.
