I’m trying to change my career into IT, and got contacted directly from a recruiter of this company on Linkedin, which surprised me tbh. Seems like it’s a ” 派遣会社 “, or dispatch company.
Now I’m in Europe, my background is studying languages/humanities in particular Japan/Japanese and I was trying to find a way to move to Japan and work there, but having no experience in IT I kinda gave up and was looking for something in Europe instead. (as I’m looking for IT entry-level jobs to get some experience)
It seems like this company hires you from overseas, pays for your ticket and gives you a bonus for moving there, and MOST important thing they help you with the visa stuff.
It seems exactly what I wanted but I’d like to ask if anyone here has worked with them, or works with them, or recently got hired etc. and what you think of the company.
also how are their interviews? (if there is more than one)
\– All the info I could from people here on reddit was 7 or 10 years old, so I’m wondering how things are now, if anyone worked for them.
Even if it’s just a company where I should stay 6 months – 1 year max, it’s still great as I’ll be there with a VISA, accommodation etc., which is much better vs being in Europe trying to find a job from here for Japan.

Unfortunately, this is all in late 2012, but for companies like them, I don’t expect many change even in more than a decade.
– I interviewed and received an offer from them. But after comparing it with other offers I had at the time, and after talking with a fellow countryman who were working for them, I chose to decline their offer.
– I think I had around 3 rounds of interviews, all in Japanese. The first 2 rounds were with one of their recruiter who was in charge of me. The 3rd round was with a panel of a few guys (higher level I guess). As I was still in my home country, all of those were via Skype.
– The interviews were more to check my Japanese level instead of my skills and experience (which I had none at the time). I also had to write an essay about how I feel about their company philosophy. I was around N3 back then, and there was no ChatGPT nor DeepL, so I think I managed just a few short sentences about how impressed I was.
– They said that because of my Japanese level, I would need to attend their company language classes in the weekend until I get up to standard, and asked if I’m fine with that.
– They were very flexible with joining date. Their coordinator in my country even suggested I can spend the Lunar new year with my family before moving.
– Yes they hire from oversea and pay for the ticket. Don’t expect expat level support though. The guy I talked to had to make it from Narita to the dorm in the middle of the night on his own, and was almost locked out.
– You can stay in the company dorm for 6 months, then you have to move out. The dorm was liveable, but a little run-down and quite far from the center.
– The job varies alot depend on where you are assigned to. At the time, that guy was sent to Numazu and actually didn’t seem to mind his job, he said he had an apartment all for himself and didn’t have to do much overtime, if any.
– There was allegedly little chance for promotion.
Ultimately, they are a typical dispatching agency and not a bad choice as a stepping stone to Japan, double more so if your have little/no experience. Just don’t expect to make bank or a career with them. I still keep contact with the guy I talked to, and last I heard, he is still in Japan, but is now a staff software engineer at a well-known company, so things worked out for him I guess. Even I seriously considered them, and had I not already had a somewhat better offer, I would have joined.
On a side note, thank you for asking this question. I digged up my old emails from back in the day, and that sent me on quite a trip down the memory lane.
