I’m planning to move to the US around the end of March or April, and I need to send a bunch of clothes (about 20-30 kg) from Japan. I did some research, and it seems like the cheapest way to do it is through International Parcel Post using Surface/Sea Mail. The only downside is that it takes 2-3 months, which is a bit long.
Do any of you know of any other options that are just as cheap or even cheaper but faster in terms of delivery time? I’d appreciate any advice!

Pay for an extra check in bag and take it with you

Check in bag should cheaper. I have a DHL business account and even then 5 kg costs around $42 to ship. Without a business account you are looking at 2-3x that to ship items.
